Be Present in the Moment

One of the best things about being tied to my mobile device is the ability to capture moments, whether through video or by snapping a photo. And as a matter of fact, once I took this photo at Nonna’s: The Trattoria (which captures their thoughtful attention to detail), I thoughtfully put my cell phone in my purse.

As I continue to pursue a personal and professional life full of JOY Undiluted, I realize how distracted I have become by the 95 or so glances per day at my phone. It is a great blessing to be connected to my family, friends and business associates through my phone though I continually realize how important it is to be connected to my surroundings, the people I am with and the experience of the moment.

I am pleased to share this photo with you, and to report that I enjoyed an uninterrupted lunch with my friend. Being fully present and engaged in the moment provides abundant joy far beyond the lens. I encourage you to give it a try!
